Deadly Food poisoning in Cameroon: Two dead, one in comma

Two children are reportedly dead and their mother in a comma in the Elig-Effa neighbourhood in Yaounde as a result of food poisoning.

Police reports say the woman and her two children took their evening meal on Tuesday, went to bed and neighbours discovered Wednesday that their doors remained closed late in the morning.
They reportedly forced open the main door and discovered that the two children were dead in their bed and their mother in a comma.
Neighbours rushed them to the Yaounde Central Hospital where an autopsy showed that they were victims of food poisoning. At press time last evening, the names of the victims were not known and the woman was still battling between life and death in the hospital.
Police investigations are said to be going on to uncover more details on the food and its source.
