African female championship: Cameroon squad poised for victory

Enow Ngachu, head coach of Cameroon female national football team, the “Indomitable Lionesses” says he is poised to write a new page with the team during the 6th African female championship billed for Equatorial Guinea from 15 to 29 November while expressing confidence on the 18-woman squad bound for Equatorial Guinea.

In a chat with camfoot.com, the coach said the team’s preparation in Nigeria ahead of the competition was successful and that the girls are now psychologically and tactically prepared to face any opponents.
To him the 18 players retained for the competitions are capable of writing the country’s name in bold in the records of African female football. The list includes six professionals playing in prominent clubs in Europe, America and Africa, including home-based players who constitute some of the finest grains in the ongoing national female championship
The Indomitable Lionesses are currently finalising preparations at the Kadji Sports Academy centre in the country’s economic capital of Douala ahead of their departure for the game’s village Thursday, 13 October. The last-minute preparations, Enow said, consists in instilling discipline and building a combative spirit among the players.
The Indomitable Lionesses will play in group A alongside Equatorial Guinea, Mali and Congo. Group B comprises Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Tunisia. Cameroon and host Equatorial Guinea will kick-start the competition on Saturday, 15 November in Malabo.
